Over two dozen members ventured to the 2017 MCA Grand National Mustang Car Show at the Overland Park Convention Center and they did very well!  Nearly all the members came home with awards, but all of them learned what is necessary to prepare for a National Car Show.  This event was hosted by the Mustang Club of Greater Kansas City (MCGKC) and they thought of EVERYTHING!  No detail was overlooked.  Soon after the host hotel sold out, they opened registration at another local hotel.  Although it wasn’t very far away, they arranged for a shuttle AND signs to guide those drivers to the show field.  With limited spectator parking, they also added more parking and shuttled spectators back and forth there too!  For the OMC members, it all started out the day before (Thursday) the prior to the Friday/Saturday/Sunday event.  OMC members met up in Edmond and did a Pony Drive to KC.  With several stops along the way, lunch was in Emporia KS.  During the 3 day event, the MCGKC had arranged for several events for the participants to see the sites and sounds of KC.  For the OMC members they also had several other things to do.  All in all, the OMC members had a GREAT time and now know just how cool a MCA National Car show is!  Next up, Lincoln NE in 2018.  Stay tuned.  We’ll keep you informed!  Members not pictured, Cindy Hosler, Steve Armstrong, Cary and Troy Rushing as well as John and Kelly Hemby.
