DESCRIPTION:CHISHOLM TRAIL MUSEUM\, KINGFISHER:  The Chisholm Trail Museum in Kingfisher is located along the historic Chisholm Trail\, once one of the greatest cattle trails in the world. Stop by to learn about the history of the trail and experience our pioneer village\, home to two log cabins\, a one-room schoolhouse\, a church\, and the first bank built in Kingfisher! We also feature exhibits on early Kingfisher history\, including commerce and industry. Located across the street and included in your admission is a tour of Horizon Hill\, once home to the third Territorial Governor of Oklahoma\, Abraham Jefferson Seay. \nMEET UP LOCATION/TIME:  The BIG parking lot on the west side of McDonalds at Council and NW Expressway (8001 NW Exy). We will meet at 9:30am and depart at 10am. \nDURING THE DRIVE: \n\nKeep your headlights on for safety and to let traffic know where our last car is.\nKeep the gap between cars no more than 3-4 car lengths\nAbsolutely no racing or driving irresponsibly.\nIf you have OMC magnets\, please display on your car during the pony drive.\n\nDIRECTIONS TO THE DESTINATION:  605 Zeller’s Avenue\, Kingfisher\, OK  405.375.5176 \n5.  Follow Route 3 West to Route 81. \n6. Route 3 turns into Route 81 just south of Okarche. \n7. Follow Route 81 North to Victory Road (E0830 Road) on the south side of Kingfisher. \n8.  Turn left (WEST) on Victory Road and take an immediate right (NORTH) on S 13th street (N2840 Road). \n9.  Follow S13th Street (N2840 Road) to Zeller’s Avenue. \n10. Turn right (EAST) on Zellers. The museum will be on the right side of the street. \n11. You’ve arrived at your destination! \nDIRECTIONS TO LUNCH:  The Shed Grill & Bar 1505 S. Main St. \n\nHead west on Zellers Ave. toward S. 13th St.\nTurn left onto S. 13th St.\n0.5 mile turn left onto W. Will Rogers Dr.\nTurn left onto S. Main St and The Shed Grill & Bar will be on the right.\n\nDIRECTIONS BACK TO OKC: Typically\, members will return to the City\, or their home town\, as they complete their visit at the destination.  As some members like to spend more or less time at the destination so we don’t usually Pony Drive home.  However\, several of you may want to cruise back as a group. Call and check during inclement weather for hours of operation.) \nAdmission to the museum:\n$5.00 for adults\n$4.00 for seniors (60+)\n$3.00 for children (ages 5 and under free)\n$15.00 for families (up to 6 individuals)\nFREE for Military (with valid ID)\n*Museum admission also includes admission to Horizon Hill\, the historic home of territorial governor A. J. Seay.
