Several of the OMC board members, Don Rader (board member), Bill James (vice-president) and myself (Allen King, president) went to Dallas for the Oct 31-Nov2 MCA National Directors Meeting. We learned a lot about how the MCA works, met a lot of folks that run our national club and got to share some stories about the OMC. We learned several things. For one, the 40th anniversary of the MCA celebration will be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during Labor Day weekend 2016. We all were very impressed with the presentation made by the Mustang Club of Indianapolis, the host organization. If you attend you will have the ability to actually drive on the IMS speedway. Unbelievable! Don, Bill and I all agreed the OMC needs to put this event on our calendar. It’s going to be REALLY cool! We also learned that the MCA is a pretty large organization with lots of things going on with a big budget! We had the chance to meet and talked with other club reps that shared with us how they do things. It was well worth the trip. As a member, you are also welcome to attend. We’ll talk more about it at this month’s General Membership Meeting. See you there! Allen King, 2014 OMC President
