OMC High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) – Half dozen or so members of the Oklahoma Mustang Club found their way to Heartland Park Topeka over Memorial Day weekend with the National Auto Sports Association (NASA) Central Region. OMC members Fred and Theresa Marshall, Larry and Jean Elliott, Arturo Cortez, Scott McMurran and club president Allen King all took their Mustangs on a short 5 hour drive north to Topeka KS. While there, they spent 2 days driving on the newly paved 2.5 mile road course. Next up for our road racers, Hallett Motor Racing Circuit on Sunday June 4th and Saturday 17th. On June 17th, the OMC will be doing a pony drive and picnic at Hallett while several club members will be driving their Mustangs on the track. So! Have you’ve ever wondered what its like to drive on a road race course? Come on out to Hallett with the club and at lunch time, you can drive on the course for 2 parade laps. It’s fun, fun fun!
Some footage from day two with NASA Central at Heartland Park Topeka. Fred is once again in the video and was kind enough to let me catch up. Good times with a great group of fellow speed demons. I started to find my groove on Sunday and was disappointed that my tires corded and I missed the last session of the day. Still though, Heartland is turning into one of my favorite tracks and I can't wait to go back. If you're not driving fast, you ain't livin'! #massive #trackaddict #heartlandpark
