Begun in 1978, AFO is a favorite Labor Day event in Oklahoma and one of the top juried fine art and craft shows in the Southwest.  Over 25,000 patrons attend AFO every Labor Day Weekend to view and purchase original artwork by regional artists, experience community performing arts groups, and sample a diverse selection of foods from up to 14 different food concessionaires.  Arts Festival Oklahoma is a juried show that showcases original work for sale to fit every budget, from student to collector. Most artists staff their own booths, and welcome the opportunity to talk with you about their work.  With free admission, a site located in South Oklahoma City, and the active involvement of numerous community organizations and over 500 volunteers, AFO is truly a community event that provides great access to the arts while it highlights its community’s assets.

Featuring over 125 of of the best visual artists in the Southwest, around the clock entertainment, a Children’s Creative Center, and a free outdoor concert by the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra, AFO provides a rich and meaningful arts experience for its patrons.  This year will mark the 37th anniversary of the AFO, produced by Oklahoma City Community College.
