Between the three of us\, we have twenty-five years experience in rescue\, volunteering\, fostering\, and fundraising. We have over a hundred years of love for dogs. \nWe are an Oklahoma city based all-breed dog rescue. We don’t care about a dog’s breed\, size\, condition\, age\, or color. If a dog is in need of rescue and we are in a position to help\, we will. \nWe care for the unwanted\, abandoned\, neglected and abused dogs of Oklahoma. We rescue dogs from the streets as well as from local shelters and shelters throughout Oklahoma\, especially small rural shelters with no public adoption programs. \nWe do take in owner surrender’s under certain situations. If you have found a dog and are willing to foster the dog until it finds a home\, we will cover the cost of vetting and work to find the dog a great forever home\, but we need your commitment to foster the dog until we can find the best home possible. \nWe advocate spay/neuter and offer assistance in finding a low-cost option for those that qualify. Spaying/neutering your pet is one of the best things you can do for them to insure they live a healthy and happy life\, and are not contributing to the over-population problem that plagues Oklahoma and many other states in the US. \nWe promote adoption as an alternative to buying your pet. Oklahoma is number two in the United States in the number of operating puppy mills. These mills are living hells for the mom and dad dogs that are forced to reproduce for their greedy owners. When you adopt a pet from a shelter or rescue\, you can know that you part of the solution and not part of the problem. \nWe provide pet ownership education through materials\, counseling\, and on-site workshops\, at no cost to the public\, with an emphasis on preventative care. We are available to come to your school\, church\, organization\, or place of employment and present a program educating the public on the benefits of adopting instead of buying their next family member.

DESCRIPTION:HALLETT MOTOR RACING CIRCUIT-HALLETT:  \n\nTRACK EVENT – HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVING EVENT (HPDE) \nCOST: $200 3 weeks prior to the event\n$225 2 weeks prior to the event \nROUND #6 \nTRACK DIRECTION: CCW \nHALLETT MOTOR RACING CIRCUIT\, Jennings/Hallett OK: If you’re interested in coming out to a road course to test your skills and your cars abilities\, then this event is for you! Hallett refers to their HPDE events as High Speed Touring (HST). \nHallett Motor Racing Circuit is a 1.8 mile\, 10 turn Road Racing course in the rolling Osage Hills of North Eastern Oklahoma. It is located 35 miles west of Tulsa\, Oklahoma\, at the Highway 99 exit of the Cimarron Turnpike. From Oklahoma City\, it’s about an 1 1/2 drive to the raceway. You do not have to own a Mustang or be a skilled driver to do these events. \nIf it’s your first time\, you’ll need to attend the Driver’s Education meeting. Use this link to learn more\, or register\, for Hallett driving events: http://www.hallettracing.net/events/high-speed-touring/ \nHallett now has online registration/payment available. NEW drivers MUST attend on a Saturday and sign up for the Driver’s Education group. The drive will be approximately 1.5 hours. SUMMARY:General Membership Meeting
DESCRIPTION:MUSTANG TOWN CENTER-MUSTANG: The OMC’s monthly meeting is held at the MUSTANG TOWN CENTER in the GREAT ROOM.   You can enter the GREAT ROOM from the west entrance\, which is on the back side of the Town Center.  There is a dedicated entrance to the GREAT ROOM.  We usually have about 50 – 80 members and guests attend.  We will also have OMC shirts and other OMC related things for sale from our Club Store at the meeting.  We discuss club business and usually have a “garage session” (information about your Mustang).  When you walk through the parking lot\, you’ll swear you were at a car show with all the beautiful Mustangs parked outside.  At the conclusion of the meeting\, we go to a local Mustang restaurant for an After Meeting Meal.  So come out and chat with your fellow Mustang’ers and find out what’s going on in the world of Mustangs! \nAt the September and October GMMs\, the club takes nominations for board officer’s who’s term expires on December 31.  If you’re interested in serving the club in a board position\, be sure to attend this meeting and bring someone to nominate you!

DESCRIPTION:BLUE OVAL COLOR FEST\, OSAGE BEACH\, MO: \nThe OMC will be traveling to Osage Beach for the Blue Oval Club’s Color Fest.  Here’s the basic information: \nOur OMC Treasurer Charli and Doug Childers will be leaving on Thursday morning\, October 23rd. It will be approximately a 5-hour drive.\nThe host hotel that the Blue Oval club has a “discount” listed on their website:\n.\nINN AT GRAND GLAIZE\, 5142 Osage Beach Pkwy\, Osage Beach\, MO 65065\nCall: 573-348-4731 to book room. Group Code: MBOC25\nPromises a rate of $119 per night plus tax and fees.\nCharli says: “I was actually able to find the same hotel for a little better price on Expedia and other sites\, so check around.\nAlso\, the reviews for this hotel say that it needs updating\, so should you decide to stay there\, please manage your expectations.\nThere are several condo’s listed on Airbnb and VRBO that are nearby as well.”\n\nThe Blue Oval club has events on Friday the 24th: \nIn the morning is a Road Rally for $10 per car\nwith a scheduled lunch at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse (you pay for your own lunch)\nIn the afternoon is a Color Fest Cruise – free\nIn the evening is a Bunco and meet & greet at Grand Glaize Bar (pay on your own)\n.\nRegistration for the car show on Saturday is $15 per car if you preregister online before noon October 13th.\n$20 per car day of show.\nEvent T-shirts $20/$22 are recommended to order online with your registration by noon October 1st.\nWhen you register online\, you do not have to register a car for the show\, you may only register for either events you are interested in:  Car Show\, Road Rally\, Color Fest Cruise\, Bunco night and T-shirts or any combo of all items mentioned.\nThere is no fee for the Cruise or Bunco night\, but they would like a head count for those events.\nWe can even park together as a club for the show\, we just have to arrive together on Saturday.\n.\nSo far\, we have 5 OMC members interested in making this trip with others looking at their calendars.\nIf you are interested in going\, please let us know and we will create a text group with all participants so that we can meet up.\nYou can do whichever parts of this event you choose. DESCRIPTION:HALLETT MOTOR RACING CIRCUIT-HALLETT:  \n\nTRACK EVENT – HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVING EVENT (HPDE) \nCOST: $200 3 weeks prior to the event\n$225 2 weeks prior to the event \nROUND #7 \nTRACK DIRECTION: CCW \nHALLETT MOTOR RACING CIRCUIT\, Jennings/Hallett OK: If you’re interested in coming out to a road course to test your skills and your cars abilities\, then this event is for you! Hallett refers to their HPDE events as High Speed Touring (HST). \nHallett Motor Racing Circuit is a 1.8 mile\, 10 turn Road Racing course in the rolling Osage Hills of North Eastern Oklahoma. It is located 35 miles west of Tulsa\, Oklahoma\, at the Highway 99 exit of the Cimarron Turnpike. From Oklahoma City\, it’s about an 1 1/2 drive to the raceway. You do not have to own a Mustang or be a skilled driver to do these events. \nIf it’s your first time\, you’ll need to attend the Driver’s Education meeting. NEW drivers MUST attend on a Saturday and sign up for the Driver’s Education group. Just go to the link provided below and find the HST date and get your account setup. \nIf this is your 1st Hallett event of the year\, your car must give them a completed tech inspection form. You can view that tech form at this link: https://www.hallettracing.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Tech-Form-2023.pdf \nOMC members will be we will be meeting at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit at 7:30 am. So please plan your departure time accordingly. \nSNELL 2015 rated helmets are required and will be inspected upon arrival. Motorcycle helmets are not allowed.
