DESCRIPTION:HEARTLAND PARK\, TOPEKA\, KS:   High Plains Drifter HPDE at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka\, Kansas! \nTHIS EVENT IS HOSTED AND CONDUCTED BY THE MUSTANG CLUB OF AMERICA. \nAre you looking for some quality time with your favorite people and favorite car on track? Are you wanting to learn how to drive your Mustang at speed in a safe environment? Have the track days you’ve participated in been crowded on track? Then please join us at Heartland Motorsports Park on October 2nd & 3rd for the best bargain in High Performance Driving Education. The weather will be cooler and we are limiting run group size and maximizing track time.\n\nLearn high speed driving and car control skills through classroom and limited in-car training from experienced instructors. Bring your street car or track care. No previous experience necessary.\nThe MCA member cost is only $390 for the weekend or $195/day. Not a member/ You can join MCA for $35 and enjoy MCA membership benefits as well as discounts on future events.\nAdditional information on the hotels can be found in the confirmation letter .\n\nEvent Requirements\nRegistration ends October 1\, 2021 11:59 PM CDT\nEvent Requirements\nRun group assignment you select during registration on Motorsports Reg may be changed by the Chief Instructor based on driver experience/resume information that you provide during this registration process in MotorsportReg. You will receive/confirm your group assignment when you check in at Registration at the track. Run groups will be limited to 25 cars each/day. We expect the event to sell out so register as soon as possible please.\n\nExperience levels for run groups:\nA = Very Advanced (Solo Driving & Open Passing with documented advanced driver status)\nB = Advanced (Solo driving with documented advanced driver status)\nC = Intermediate (Experienced with several driving school and open track events)\nD = Novice (Limited experience with one or two prior driving schools or open track events\, instruction required)\n\nCar Sharing: Contact Bryan Kerrick at 405bek@gmail.com or 956-641-0456 or Curtis Norman at Curtisnorman@verizon.net or 832-867-8142 before registering if you plan to share a car between two drivers who must be qualified to participate in different run groups as determined by the Chief Instructor\, Curtis Norman. Driver’s under 16 with a learner’s permit may be accepted after review of their registration by the Chief Instructor.\n\nHelmets must meet the Snell SA 2010\, 2015 or SA 2020 standard. Make sure of the compliance of your helmet as of the date of the event. DESCRIPTION:RESTAURANT:  \nRAY’S SMOKEHOUSE @ 1514 W LINDSEY ST\, NORMAN \nOn the second Tuesday of each month\, the OMC has a Cruise In where we meet at a local restaurant to enjoy good food\, and friends and talk Mustangs!\nWe go to places that have lots of parking and great food on the menu. We also go to places that have lots of room for a group our size to meet. We usually have between 30-60 people come out and the parking lot looks like a Mustang car show!\nWe are a family club\, so if you want to bring the kids\, by all means. And if you want to bring a friend\, we’d love to meet them too. So come on out and enjoy a meal with other car lovers! We’ll see you there at 6:30 pm! We hope you can come out and join us

Contact the Pony Drive Coordinator \nName:   __Kathy Foley_____Phone Number: _______405-388-2808______ \nTime and Location:    We will meet at 9:30am at the State Capitol\, 2300 N Lincoln Blvd. Oklahoma City in the visitors parking lot south of the Capitol. I will need to get a quick head count for lunch at Steer Inn Restaurant in Cushing.   We will then walk as a group to the SW visitor entrance.    (See attached email and map for information concerning the tour. LEAVE ALL YOUR SHARP POINTY THINGS IN YOUR VEHICLE AS YOU WILL BE GOING THROUGH A METAL DETECTOR) Feel free to explore until we all meet up at 12:45pm. \nWe will meet up in the visitor parking lot south of the Capitol at 12:45 pm and plan to leave at 1:00 to Pony Drive to Cushing.  It is approximately 1 hour so we will not be stopping for a potty break. \nLunch: Arrival time should be about 1:00 pm at the Steer Inn Restaurant\, 1340 E Main Street\, Cushing OK 74023 (918) 225-4703. \n\nKeep your headlights on for safety and to let traffic know where our last car is.\nKeep the gap between cars no more than 3-4 car lengths.\nPlease\, no racing or driving irresponsibly.\nIf you have OMC magnets\, please display on your car during the pony drive.\nThe lead vehicle\, a vehicle in the middle of the cars and the tail car will all be in contact with one another\, this allows the car closest to the event to notify the lead vehicle. (Vehicle with a flat\, a group of vehicles have been separated at traffic lights etc…)\n\nDirections to the Destination: \n\nLeaving the Oklahoma State Capitol\, exit the east parking lot and take the east bound 23rd St exit.\nContinue east on 23rd approximately 18.9 miles. There will be a lot of traffic lights\, once we get past the overpass for I35 it will be a breeze. The lead car will slow down until the tail end has caught up.\nOnce we enter the Harrah city limits you will need to move into the left-hand lane to be prepared to turn left at US62. (Just past the Dollar General)\nContinue east on US62 for approximately 29.4 miles. You will be in Meeker\, Oklahoma.  Turn north on State highway 81.\nAt US66/State highway 81 turn right\, you will then be driving thru Chandler\, Oklahoma. As you leave Chandler you will be turning left to follow State highway 81.\nIn approximately 26 miles at US33/State highway 81 turn right.\nContinuing east on US33 for an additional 6 miles to the Steer Inn Restaurant which will be on the north side of the road across the street from Braum’s.\n\nDIRECTIONS BACK TO OKC – Typically\, members will return to the city\, or their hometown\, as they complete their visit at the destination. As some members like to spend more or less time at the destination so we do not usually Pony Drive home.

SUMMARY:General Membership Meeting
DESCRIPTION:MUSTANG TOWN CENTER-MUSTANG: The OMC’s monthly meeting is held at the MUSTANG TOWN CENTER in the GREAT ROOM.   You can enter the GREAT ROOM from the west entrance\, which is on the back side of the Town Center.  There is a dedicated entrance to the GREAT ROOM.  We usually have about 50 – 80 members and guests attend.  We will also have OMC shirts and other OMC related things for sale from our Club Store at the meeting.  We discuss club business and usually have a “garage session” (information about your Mustang).  When you walk through the parking lot\, you’ll swear you were at a car show with all the beautiful Mustangs parked outside.  At the conclusion of the meeting\, we go to a local Mustang restaurant for an After Meeting Meal.  So come out and chat with your fellow Mustang’ers and find out what’s going on in the world of Mustangs!  During this General Membership Meeting we will be accepting nominations for the Board positions that are up for elections. Elections are held in November. We will also vote on the BOD\, APPOINTEE and MEMBER of the year during the November General Membership Meeting.  We will see you there!
