Pony Drive

| $7.00We’re wrapping up our summer Pony Drive to the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum and Lamborn’s Route 66 Cafe in Clinton, OK. Here are the details:

Time and Location: We will meet at the ONCUE at 8:00 am, leaving the parking lot at 8:30am.
It’s approximately 1 hr and 15 minutes to Clinton. Arrive in Clinton about 9:45 am. Start tour at
10:00 am.
Safety concerns:
A.Keep your headlights on for safety and to let traffic know where our last car is.
B.Keep the gap between cars no more than 3-4 car lengths.
C.Please, no racing or driving irresponsibly.
D.If you have OMC magnets, please display on your car during the pony drive.
E.The lead vehicle, a vehicle in the middle of the cars and the tail car will all be in contact with one
another, this allows the car closest to the event to notify the lead vehicle. (Vehicle with a flat, a group
of vehicles have been separated at traffic lights etc…)
Directions to the Destination: Oklahoma Route 66 Museum, 2229 W Gary Blvd Clinton, OK 73601
The cost for entry into the Museum is $7.00 per adult, however, the Museum has a group rate of $5.00 each if
the entry fee is paid at one time. So with that being said we will collect the $5.00 before we go inside the
museum.
A.Meet at ONCUE at 1000 N. Czech Hall Rd in Yukon (we have met there before)
B.Exit ONCUE at the west end of the parking lot and turn right onto N. Czech Hall Rd. (N. Czech Hall Rd.
becomes Cornwell) Go north 2 miles to Main Street (Rt 66) and turn west (left)
C.Proceed west through Yukon to Hwy 81 in El Reno and turn south (left), there is a Love’s on
the northwest corner.
D.Traveling on Hwy 81, go about ½ mile south. Turn west (right) to the on ramp for I-40 west
bound. Go all the way to Clinton
E.Continue west on I-40 to the Gary Blvd exit and turn north (right).
F.Go north about 1 mile and arrive at the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum.
Lunch: Lamborn’s Rt 66 Café at 301 W Gary Blvd in Clinton. We will proceed together to the
restaurant after the museum.
DIRECTIONS BACK TO OKC – Typically, members will return to the city, or their hometown, as they
complete their visit at the destination. As some members like to spend more or less time at the destination so
we do not usually Pony Drive home.
