FUNDRAISER, SHOW & SHINE, OKC:

FUN ON WHEELS!
GAVIN’S LEGACY FUNDRAISER SHOW & SHINE!
.
OMC Member Christine Scannelli is helping to organize and run this fundraiser. We hope our OMC members will be out to support this worthy cause!
Gavin’s Legacy:
Gavin was an amazingly talented young man with the world as his oyster and dreamed to “slip the surly bonds of Earth And dance the skies on laughter-silvered wings.”
He was a Senior at Edmond North High School and a Senior Airman in the OK-81st Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, loved cars & motorcycles, wore hoodies year-round, Ramen, and of course loved spending time with his girlfriend, friends and family!
On August 25, 2022 Gavin was on his way to school and was in a tragic motorcycle accident. He succumbed to his injuries on August 26, 2022. He is loved beyond words and missed beyond measures. His life was a blessing to everyone that knew him and our memories of him will always be treasured.
Upon graduation, Gavin had planned to follow in his father’s footsteps, obtaining his Private Pilot License, and become a Fighter Pilot in the Air Force. To honor his dreams and ensure his legacy, we have a goal to raise $45,000 to pay for the flight training of three High School Seniors of the class of 2024 in the Edmond & surrounding metro.
The OK81st JROTC detachments will have the first scholarship, with the remaining scholarships being open to anyone local to the area, who share the same dream as Gavin. They will receive the training needed for their FAA Private Pilot License.
The Scholarships will be fulfilled with local flight schools.
