VETERANS DAY PARADE, MIDWEST CITY:
THE OKLAHOMA MUSTANG CLUB ONLY PROVIDES VEHICLES FOR THIS PARADE. THIS PARADE IS NOT AN OMC PARADE.
Once again the Oklahoma Mustang Club will be participating in the Midwest City Veterans Day parade. This parade is open to all Mustang vehicles coupes and convertibles. We may have riders, but your guest are welcome to ride along with you. We hope you can help us out! And if you’re an Oklahoma Mustang Club member, you will earn DOUBLE Club Participation Points!

Time: START TIME – 9:45 AM (At parade line-up)
10:00 AM SE 15th and Century.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Upon arrival, parade official will check us in and give the lead car a windshield number to be placed on the passenger side windshield. If you arrive late and before 9:00 a.m. You must arrive at the staging point before 9:00 a.m. or you will not be able to participate.
2. We are required to show proof of insurance, so please bring your insurance verification card with you. I did not send them in with our application.
3. We will proceed to the Main Parade Staging Area AFTER our decorations are complete. Bring any patriotic materials that you may have. We have some to share, if you need them.
4. We will enter the Main Parade Staging Area when our decorations are complete.
5. We will enter the Main Parade Staging Area off Reno and Morris McGee Drive. The parade staging area from S.E. 15th Street will be closed.
6. The staging area will have restroom facilities located at the concession stand on the west side of the Soccer Complex and at the Joe B. Barnes Pavilion.

The parade will commence at 10:00 a.m. from S.E. 15th St and Century Blvd and travel east to Douglas Blvd. On Douglas Blvd. the parade will travel north to Reno Ave, east to Morris McGee Blvd at Joe B. Barnes Regional Park.

The City of Midwest City and the Midwest City Chamber of Commerce are honored to host the Veterans Day Parade as we salute and honor the men and women who have served or are currently serving in the military.

OTHER PARADE INFORMATION:
Rules:
Strictly Prohibited: Throws and pamphlets or flyers: Throwing or distribution of any item from a moving / motorized parade entry is prohibited. To include but not limited to; candy, toys, beads, pre-package food and/ or beverage, etc. Pamphlets, Flyers, Cards or brochures, including marketing materials, coupons, sales advertisements, and especially political promotional print pieces, are strictly prohibited. Shooting water guns or water cannons, throwing water balloons, use of bubbles or bubble machines or the discharge of any liquid is prohibited. The discharge of fireworks or firearms is strictly prohibited. However, volunteers walking next to the parade entry can hand candy directly to parade attendees (no throwing). Parade walkers are to aid and ensure parade attendees do not come into the street. All items designed for direct distribution by hand MUST be requested via email and approved no later than 3 weeks in advance of the Veterans Day Parade Committee.
Firearms: Only authorized law enforcement personnel and Parade approved carry of replica firearms to support a parade entry is allowed. Subject to inspection by law enforcement officials or the Parade committee.
Alcoholic Beverages/Drugs: Alcoholic beverages and illegal use of drugs are not allowed on or around the entry or in the staging area.
Safety: (a) Individuals and organizations in the Parade and in the staging area are expected to act courteously, in good taste and with safety in mind at all times during the formation, execution, and dismissal of the Parade. Once an entry has started down the Parade route, riders are to stay on board, do not get off and
on. (b) Barriers, stands, or handholds are required for riders on floats. (c) The Parade Committee, Safety Engineer, and Fire Marshal reserve the right to inspect and approve or disapprove all towing packages, entries, or floats for any fire or safety hazard. All float entries are required to have a Class ABC Fire Extinguisher on board. (d) Smoking is not allowed on any parade vehicle or entry. (e) A cellular device is not permitted to be used by the operator of any parade entry. (f) Members of your entry cannot walk over to and interact with the crowd. This pulls people into the street and is not safe. All entries are required to correct any deficiencies before they can participate in the Parade.

11. Insurance: The Veterans Day Parade and the City of Midwest City require all entrants to provide the Parade Committee proof of insurance that will cover their participation in the Parade. The requirement is easy to fulfill and is absolutely necessary.
a. Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, Tractors, Antique, and Vintage Cars: Any vehicle licensed to operate on the road must have insurance. A copy of your “State of Oklahoma Security Verification Form” must be submitted to the Parade Committee.
