Yes, it’s hard to believe, but 2014 is coming to a close and that means – ELECTIONS! This year all the board positions are up for election except the MCA director. This means the president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and two board members are all up for election. The September and October General Membership Meetings serve as the opportunities to submit names for nominations. To serve, you have to be, or become, a MCA member and a member in good standing. If you’re interested in the treasurer position, you’ll have to have been a member of the OMC for at least 3 years. As treasurer, Larry Elliott has done an excellent job of setting up the OMC books in QuickBooks. So if you have knowledge about QuickBooks and would like to serve your fellow Mustangers, this is just the job for you!
Once the board is elected, they will call for volunteers for the APPOINTEE positions. I encourage all of you to download a copy of our bylaws under the Member’s Only section and review them. The Member’s Only section is password protected and that password is posted in each week’s Mustang Tails.
Officers will be elected during our November General Membership Meeting our elections will be held along with our annual Thanksgiving dinner. So if you’ve been wondering how you can help out, here’s your opportunity!
